Vedic Knowledge.. Spped of Light calculated in rig veda mantras

तरनिर्विस्वदार्सतो ज्योथिस्क्रुदासी सूर्या |

विस्वमाभासी रोचनम ||
which means "Oh Sun! (You) overwhelm all in speed, visible to all, Source of light. (You) shine pervading the universe.............(1)
तथा च स्मर्यत योजनानाम सहस्रं द्वे द्वे शते द्वे च योजने |
एकेन निमिशार्धन क्रममाना नमोस्तुते ||
it is remembered that that, saluations to thee, the traveller of 2202 yojanas in half a nimisha which is "SPEED OF LIGHT".
1 yojana = 9 miles 110 yards
2202 yojanas = 21,144.705 miles
time taken for sunlight = 1/2 NIMESHA = 1/8.75 = 0.114286 (NOTE: this nimesha is different from our minute)
speed of light = 185,016.169miles/sec (traveller of 2202 yojanas)
present day value = 186,282.367miles/sec
